Javan Rhinoceros - Animal of February 2018

44th page of my Explorer's Notebook for the Animal of the Month Event at : the Javan Rhino! this big, beautiful and mysterious plant-eater lives now only in a small area on the island of Java, a park called Ujung Kulon. It is critically endangered, and thus protected by a few organizations, but the difficulty is that we don't know much about it... it's very secretive, lives in a dense jungle and seems to reproduce at quite a slow rate, so taking measures to help the species survive and grow in numbers isn't an easy mission... they're so cute, I really hope they can be saved!!
